Limited Troika Showcase Tickets Available
Limited tickets for Troika Bermuda’s ‘FYE! Young Choreographers Showcase’ are now available.
A spokesperson said, “This weekend, Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd at The Earl Cameron Theatre, Troika Bermuda returns to the stage after a two year hiatus due to Covid-19 to present ‘Resurgence’ – their fourth Young Choreographers’ Showcase.
“This dance showcase will be a creative and explosive presentation highlighting the choreographic talents and passion for dance by Bermuda’s young people. Through this initiative, young performers have been encouraged to strive for their own artistic excellence.
“This initiative supports youth participation in all genres of dance. The young choreographers have submitted completed works in dance genres representative of hip hop, ballet, tap, modern, dancehall, African dance, inspirational and Caribbean folk. They have spent time creating, teaching and directing their dance pieces in preparation for the production. The production features dancers from around the island.
“The production is under the creative direction of Shanna Henry and Sacha Dill and will feature choreography by a talented group of creatives including Eryn Beach, Jadiyah Bailey, Janaesha West, Jasiri Minors, Kevonte Jennings-Lathan, Monica Bruixola, Nasya Joell, Shia Bean and T’aja Williams.
“Over 50 talented dancers are performing in this production, including Alexcie Burrows, Alexis Smith, Amaya Husband, Antione Williams, Arianna Brown, Azariah Greaves, Azure Hollis, Brianna Simas, Courtney Rego, Charnae Richardson, Daryn Fox, Denzel Amos, Destani Smith, Eryn Beach, Honor Minors, In’Dasia Showers, India Raynor, Jada Davis, J’yindae Preece, Jade Johnston, Jiyai Bell, Jaidah Bailey, Keimya Smith, Kerris Hassell, Kevonte Jennings-Lathan, London Willson, Mahlani Ramotar, Meshalae Hayward, Mikayla Douglas, Monica Bruixola, Nahjae Rayner, Niyah Burrows, Quince’e Jones, Sacha Dill, Shia Bean, Shakori Trott, Shanna Henry, Shayna Simons, Shaniyah Smith-Daniels, Skyla Furbert, Sophia Card, Taye- Zino Trott, Y’ve Smith, Zh’ky Tuzo, and Zyire Gomes
