Renovation Of Beacon House Now Underway
The renovation of Beacon House is now underway, with Vision Bermuda aiming to raise $90,000 in order to “fully restore and equip our building to service the blind and visually impaired in our community.”
A spokesperson said, “Vision Bermuda is delighted to share the news that the long awaited and much needed renovation of Beacon House is now well underway. It is anticipated that the construction phase will be completed by May 31 and that the building will be ready for occupation this summer.
“However, to complete the final stages of the Beacon House renovation, we need to raise $90,000. With these funds, we will be able to fully restore and equip our building to service the blind and visually impaired in our community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous cash and in-kind donations that we have received thus far. Our capital campaign has received tremendous support from the Hamilton Lions Club/Lions Clubs International Foundation, members of the Board, and many private and corporate donors.
