Video: Stovell & Kempe Win RYA Youth Nationals

Bermudian youth sailors Nicole Stovell and Sebastian Kempe made an outstanding showing at the RYA Youth Nationals in England, with both claiming victory after leading their fleets from start to finish.

Three races were sailed in the ILCA6 Women’s Class on the final day to take the series to 13 races, with Stovell coming off the water with a total of 31 net points; she won three races and finished in the top three seven times.

In the ILCA6 Men’s Class, Kempe — who was recently named Bermuda’s Junior Male Athlete of the Year — outsailed all his competitors claiming the title with 14 net points, out of the 13 races sailed Kempe finished outside the top three once, Kempe won 8 races.
