‘Run Jump Throw’ Event At NSC This Saturday
The ‘Run Jump Throw’ event for kids aged 6 to 12 years old will be held on April 9th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the event set to take place in advance of the inaugural USATF Bermuda Games at the Flora Duffy Stadium, which will see a number of world class athletes in action.
A Government spokesperson said, “On April 9th at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, USA Track & Field [USATF] and Bermuda National Athletic Association [BNAA] has teamed up with Hershey to create Run Jump Throw [RJT], a hands-on learning program that gets kids excited about physical activity by introducing them to the basic running, jumping, and throwing skills through track & field.
“Run Jump Throw offers a selection of stations including dynamic warm-up, running form and technique, standing broad jump, softball throw, and one-legged hop.
“Designed to be a curriculum that is easily adaptable for any group, Run Jump Throw is a noncompetitive program that can be conducted as a field day event lasting 2 hours.
