Video: SailGP Inspire Features Tre Maxwell
Young Bermudian sailor Tre Maxwell has been featured in a promotional video for the SailGP Inspire programme.
Maxwell went behind the scenes with some of the world’s best sailors at the Mubadala United States Sail Grand Prix, the Season Two Grand Final, in San Francisco last month. Season Three gets underway in Bermuda next month.
“I’m from a tiny island called Bermuda,” Maxwell said. “I’m a long way from home. My dad has always been a big fisherman, and that’s how I got my love for the water.
“I started sailing at the age of 11. It gives you a sense of freedom.
“You’re in connection with the boat, in connection with nature. It’s always captivated me.
“Inspire is a great opportunity to become engulfed in all aspects of SailGP.”
