Bermuda Day: 20 Groups So Far, More Expected
After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the much anticipated Bermuda Day parade will take place this year, and officials said that “currently we have around 20 groups that we expect to participate, with more signing up.”
The Government said, “After a two-year absence, our signature annual event, the Bermuda Day Parade will return. Currently we have around 20 groups that we expect to participate with more signing up. Bermuda can expect to see the signature floats, drum bands, dance groups, music trucks and of course our celebrated Gombeys, so it should be a full day for all to enjoy.
“More details of this and other Heritage Month events will be shared over the next several days. For more information on how to be a part of the Bermuda Day activities, please email culture@gov.bm or call the main office on at 292-1681.” You can also find entry details here on the official website.
The Parade will begin on Front Street in front of the Point House/Albuoy’s Point area and continue along Front Street, move onto Court Street, then Church Street, along Cedar Avenue, and then onto Marsh Folly Road/Dutton Avenue.

The theme this year is ‘Togetherness’ with the Department of Culture saying, “A community is a group of people who live together and rely upon each other. This Heritage Month theme gives our community the opportunity to think about what binds us together: how do we pull together during times of tragedy and need, how do we celebrate together, and what value do we place on what we can accomplish together as a country?”
