Bermuda International Race Week Underway
The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club had a successful return to Bermuda International Invitational Race Week [BIIRW] with 9 International One Design completing two races on the Great Sound.
Beautiful conditions with the wind at 10-12 knots out of the northwest sees Patrick Cooper, Bermuda 1, the provisional leader after two races.
Cooper won both races on the opening day, with American Courtney Jenkins in second place after finishing second twice representing Gibson Island Yacht Squadron. Rounding out the top three finishers on day one was Tormond Lie from Norway, who has seven points after finishing third in the first race and fourth in the second race.
