Bermuda Squash Championships Underway
The Chubb Bermuda Open 2022 Squash Championships got underway at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club in Devonshire.
On Court Two in the first match of the tournament, Owain Taylor from Wales defeated Canadian Liam Marrison 3 – 1 in 50 minutes. The second match on Court Two saw Colombia’s Matias Knudsen defeat Bermuda’s Taylor Carrick 3 – 0 in 28 minutes.
In an All-Bermuda Women’s Division match, the fans got their first five-setter of the night as Hailey Moss defeated Juliette Ferrari-McComb in a 39 minute battle 3 – 2. Bermuda’s Micah Franklin was next on the court, he fell 3 – 0 to Josue Enriquez from Guatemala in 39 minutes. Bermuda’s Noah Brown also went down 3 – 0 to Seif Shenawy from Egypt in 38 minutes.
