[Updated] The Government advised that “its email system is experiencing extensive technical difficulties, resulting in a government-wide email outage.”

A spokesperson said, “The Department of Information and Digital Technology [IDT], is working to restore service as swiftly as possible, and the public will be advised once email service has resumed.

“The government advises that the processing of Travel Authorizations [TA] is not impacted by this outage. Travellers can still apply at www.gov.bm and TAs are being processed.

“The Department of IDT apologises for any inconvenience caused.”

Update 6.35pm: A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Government advised this evening that it continues to experience computer systems and server outages.

“While technicians are working to restore services, regrettably, several departments are affected. This includes the payroll processing for weekly paid officers.

“As a result, salaries and wages for weekly paid officers will not be available in accounts on Friday [May 6] morning. Every effort is being made to complete payroll processing as quickly as possible. The Government apologises for any inconvenience caused, and we will keep the public updated as services are restored.”
