Harbour Swimmers Begin Competing In Florida

The Harbour Swim Club Silver and Gold Squads got off to a great start competing at the T2 Aquatics Pool in Naples, Florida, with several podium finishes claimed by the team.

In the girls 12 and under 400 free, where several personal bests were achieved with Gabi Cechini leading the girls finishing 12th in a personal best time of 5:34.49. In the boys 12 and under 400 free, Joey Cechini finished 5th in a personal best time of 5:41.75, Nayland Harris 6th in a time of 5:45.47 and Dominic Wright 8 in a time of 5:55.95. Ava Pedro led the 13 and over girls in the 800 Free in a 10:22.60 for 9th place and Thomas Cechini place 3rd in the 13 and over boys in personal best time of 9:18.67.

Other finals brought on more great results for the Harbour team. In the girls 13 and over 200 medley relay, Harbour captured the bronze as well and 5th and 7th places, while the boys captured silver and 5th places. The 12 and under 200 medley relay saw the Harbour girls place 3rd and In the boys 15 and over 200 IM, Pharaoh Benevides finished 8th in a time of 2:49.36. Agathe Candillon finished 2nd in the Girls 13 to 14 200 IM in a personal best time of 2:39.76, Ava Pedro 3rd in 2:42.07, Ellie Pearman 6th in 2:52.25, Dana Hawitt 7th in 2:53.97 and Katherine Wheddon 8th in 2.54.42. Thomas Cechini claimed the gold in the boys 200 IM in a time of 2:26.88, Nathan Burrill was 5th in a time of 2:38.63 and Connor Hupman 6th in a time of 2:44.72.

In the girls 11 to 12 200 free, Gabi Cechini finished 7th in a time of 2:41.85 and Grace Buckley finished 8th in a time of 2:41.87. Nayland Harris finished in 5th in a time of 2:37.60 in the boys 11-12 200 free.

The girls 13-14 100 fly final saw Agathe Candillon finishing 5th in a time of 1:14.05 and Dana Hawitt 6th in a time of 1:20.51. Thomas Cechini claimed gold in the boys 13-14 100 Fly in a personal best time of 1:03.74 and Noah Maranzana finished 8th in a time of 1:17.63. In the girls 11-12 50 fly, Tallulah Parkinson finished 7th in a time of 36.64.

In the girls 13-14 200 back final, Ellie Pearman finished 7th in a time of 2:44.01. In the girls 11-12 100 back final, Violet Smith finished 2nd in a time of 1:14.67, Somers Estwanik 3rd in a personal best time of 1:20.25 and Christina Abend 8th in a time of 1:25.09.

The girls 13-14 100 free saw Ava Pedro capturing third in a time of 1:04.76 and Agathe Candillon finishing 8th in a time of 1:06.89. Nathan Burrill captured the gold in the Boys 13-14 100 free in a time of 59.61 with teammates Connor Hupman finishing 4th in a time of 1:02.51 and Noah Maranzana in a time of 1:04.27. Nayland Harris finished 6th in the 11-12 boys 50 Free in a time of 31.72.

Sienna Spurling captured 4th place in the girls 13-14 200 breast final in a time of 3:26.57, while Carter Bernard captured bronze in the boys 15 and over 50 breast final in a personal best time of 34.61. Ava Pedro finished 5th in the girls 15 and over 50 breast final in a time of 42.60 and Sienna Spurling claimed 7th in a time of 43.45. In the girls 11 to 12 100 breast final, Tallulah Parkinson finished 6th in a personal best time of 1:32.98.

Thomas Cechini captured his 3rd gold of the night in the boys 13-14 400 free in a personal best time of 4:32.09.
