Photos: Swimming Best Of The Best Meet

The third and final Best of the Best Swimming Meet took place today [May 5] at the BASA Pool, with several records broken during the day.

Seven time Carifta medalist Jesse Washington took a full second off the previous 11-12 Boy’s 50m Backstroke record when he touched the wall in a time of 31.50, breaking the old record set by Nicholas Thompson on October 23rd, 2004 when he was clocked in at 32.64.

Jack Harvey broke the 9-10 Boys 200m Backstroke Record when he clocked 44.86, breaking the old record of 45.44 set by Stefan Adderley on June 18th 2000.

In the 9-10 Girls 200m Freestyle, Amma Harvey set a new Record clocking 2:30.78, this time broke the previous record time of 2:31.44 set by Ashley Yearwood back on December 3rd, 2005.
