Webinar To Highlight Bermuda’s ESG Maturity
The Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA], in association with Oxbow Partners, will air a webinar about Bermuda’s ESG maturity on Tuesday, July 19 at 12.00pm ADT.
This latest edition of the Bermuda Angle webinar series – entitled ‘Bermuda’s ESG Experience and its Influence on the Global [Re]insurance Industry’ – will include an introduction from Bermuda’s Deputy Premier Walter Roban.
Helen Cart, Business Development Manager, BDA, said, “We are extremely fortunate that Bermuda’s Deputy Premier will open the webinar with important insights about Bermuda’s climate change mitigation strategies.
“Following the Deputy Premier’s remarks, Miqdaad Versi, Head of ESG, Oxbow Partners, UK, will moderate a panel of ESG experts, including Harriet James, ESG Strategy, RenaissanceRe, Andrew MacFarlane, Head of Climate, AXA XL and Shannon Sun, Head of Corporate Development and Chair of Innovation Committee, AIG Re.
“Key topics that the panelists will discuss include talk vs. meaningful action; potential barriers, including readily available ESG data/metrics; and how Bermuda’s history of innovation, could manifest itself into new climate risk finance products or sectors.”
Mr. Versi, who will also provide high-level findings of an ‘ESG in Bermuda – The Rising Tide’ Report. This report, which was launched at the BDA’s inaugural Bermuda Climate Summit from May 23-24, includes interviews with 21 [re]insurers and ILS funds and other industry leaders.
