Vessel Returns, Crew Member Positive For Covid

A sailing vessel returned to Bermuda as a crew member tested positive for Covid-19.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Thursday 30th June, 8:56 am – An email was received from a 37 ft Swedish registered sailing vessel which had recently departed Bermuda bound for Canada, the vessel was 85 miles to the north and intended to return as a crewmember tested positive for Covid. After discussion with the Health Department the vessel arrived back into St Georges Harbour on Friday morning, to quarantine at anchor.”
