Lewis Begins Competing In ILCA 4 Youth Worlds
Amelia Lewis began competing in the 2022 ILCA 4 Youth World Championships on the waters of Vilamoura in Portugal.
Lewis — in a Girls Fleet of 156 sailors from around the world — is in 93rd place after two races with 89 points.
The organisation said, “Two races were completed today in each fleet at the 2022 ILCA 4 Youth World Championships, hosted by Vilamoura Sailing. All 426 boats launched efficiently in under 45 minutes for a smooth start to the day. The venue produced champagne sailing conditions, with 14–20 knots of wind building throughout the afternoon.”
