BHEC: Transition To Online Payment System
The Bermuda Health Council is informing the general public that the Health Council is transitioning to a new online health professional registration payment portal as of 1st October 2022.
A spokesperson said, “The online payment portal allows regulated health professionals to submit payment for their registration application in minutes and no account setup is required. Applicants should submit their application prior to making payment. A link to the payment portal is provided once a registration application is submitted.
“This new system will allow health professionals to:
- Pay registration fees online
- View and receive automatic receipt of payment
- Receive notification when payments are processed and completed
“The Health Council would like to notify all registered psychologists, pharmacists, allied health professionals, dental practitioners, optometrist and opticians that renewal fees must be paid before the respective registration renewal deadline.
“If payment is not made prior to the registration expiration date, you will be required to pay an additional late registration fee and you will not be considered legally registered to practice your profession. Continuing to practice without a valid registration is a criminal offence.
