Scholars Of Bermuda Now Open To Students
Scholars of Bermuda is now open “to support students recover from the learning losses caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
A spokesperson said, “Scholars of Bermuda is now open to support students recover from the learning losses [unfinished learning] caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The pandemic caused perhaps the most challenging times for the effective delivery of education in our island’s history. Research studies have shown that at the start of the 2021-2022 school year, students were 4-5 months behind in English and math studies and that students in low-income neighbourhoods tended to suffer even worse learning setbacks.
“D. Cyril Butterfield, Founding Director of Peak Potential Bermuda, and his team of educators have been offering individualized tutoring and mentoring to support students enrolled in Bermuda’s public and private schools. From 2011 to 2021, they have helped over 1,000 students build academic skills and improve their performance at school.
“On June 1, 2022, Butterfield and his team opened the door to their newly-renovated 1,200 square foot learning center, Scholars of Bermuda, at 53 King Street in Hamilton. Scholars offers convenient and flexible in-center and virtual tutoring programs that are designed not only to boost students’ grades, but also to improve their confidence.
