Desmond & Fordham Win Season Opener
Brian Desmond and his Fordham Men’s Swimming & Diving teammates open their 2022-23 season by hosting the Manhattan Jaspers at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
Desmond and his teammates finished with a 177 – 64 victory, as they won all the events on the night.
Parris Raptis, Desmond, Wade Meaders, and Ryan Staunch clocked a winning time in the men’s 200 freestyle relay clocking a time of 1:28.89.
Desmond won the men’s 50 yard backstroke touching the wall in a time of 25.19, and he also led off the Fordham University men’s 200-yard medley relay B team that finished 2nd with a time of 1:38:04.
During the men’s 100 yard backstroke Desmond finished 2nd clocking a time of 54.53.
