John Daly To Compete In Golf Event
Tournament officials announced today that John Daly will compete in the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course next week.
A spokesperson said, “Tournament officials announced today that John Daly will compete in the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course next week. Daly, who competes on the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions, will make his first appearance in Bermuda. The fan favourite enters the field as a tournament sponsor exemption.
“Over 30 years ago, Daly burst into the golf world. As the ninth and final alternate of the 1991 PGA Championship, the 25-year-old rookie went out and won the golf tournament. He followed that up by winning the 1995 British Open in St. Andrews. One of the most famous athletes in professional sports, the two-time major champion has five PGA TOUR titles and one PGA TOUR Champions title, the 2017 Insperity Invitational.
“Limited General Admission tickets remain. Saturday and Sunday are 80% sold out. Purchase now to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available through the tournament website for $35. Digicel Business Ocean Club tickets retail at $250 and can also be purchased online. The public is encouraged to act quickly.
“The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will implement the PGA TOUR’s Junior Initiative this year. Youth 15 and under are admitted free to the tournament with a ticketed adult. This does not apply to hospitality spaces, and all spectators over the age of 2 entering hospitality venues must hold a pre-purchased ticket.
