Gayle Lindsay Win PartnerRe Women’s 5K
Gayle Lindsay ran to victory in the PartnerRe Women’s 5K Run and Walk, which started and finished at the Botanical Gardens.
Lindsay was able to hold off a challenge from Maddie Durkin to claim the victory by 23 seconds; Lindsay was clocked at 19:28, Durkin was clocked at 29:51, and Laura Burns crossed the line third with a time of 21:25.
Finishing in fourth place was Emma Norman, who was clocked at 21:52. Cari De Coning was fifth with a time of 22:10, while Stepanka Sprincova finished sixth with a time of 22:19.
Lucy Yiasoumi was the seventh runner to cross the line with a time of 22:34, while Teresa Ruiz was eighth with a time of 22:52, Laura Knox-Clingerman clocked 22:55 to finish ninth, and Carla Hinwood rounded out the top ten finishers with a time of 22:59.
