Mallory Advances In Carolina Regional Doubles
Two UNC Wilmington [UNCW] men’s tennis doubles teams — which included Trey Mallory — advanced to the round of 16 as they concluded the second day of action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men’s Tennis Carolina Regional at the Cary Tennis Park.
Drew Broadstreet and Mallory of UNCW advanced to the round of 16 with victories over opponents from Wake Forest and Elon.
The tandem upset No. 5-seeded Melios Efstathiou and Bozo Barun of Wake, 6-2, 6-3, and then they cruised past Elon’s Veljko Krstic and Oskar Antinheimo, 7-5, 6-0.
