Two Men Injured In Fight On Front Street

Police responded to a report of two men fighting on Front Street this evening [Oct 31], with a 31-year-old man sustaining a cut to his hand, a 46-year-old man suffering injuries to his back and arms, and a “box cutter and a knife” being recovered at the scene.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:15 p.m. on Monday 31st October 2022, police received a ‘911’ call regarding two males fighting in the area of the Bird Cage on Front Street, in the City of Hamilton.

“One of the males, a 31-year-old, sustained a cut to one of his hands. The other male, a 46-year-old, suffered injuries to his back and both arms.

“Both men were attended to to at the scene by EMTs and were subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII memorial for further treatment. Neither man’s injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

“Police officers recovered a box cutter and a knife at the scene of the incident which was closed off for a short period, while being processed by officers from the Forensic Support Unit.
