Senegal 3
[Dia 41, Diedhiou 48, Dieng 84]
Host nation Qatar crashed out of the World Cup after losing their second successive Group A game against Senegal in Doha.
Senegal’s Boulaye Dia broke the deadlock after the Qatar defence failed to clear their lines before Famara Diedhiou, a former team-mate of Nahki Wells at Bristol City, headed home to double their lead.
Qatar pulled a goal back through a poweful header from Mohammed Muntari and were searching for an equaliser when Bamba Dieng extinguished any hopes of a comeback when he stroked home.
Netherlands 1

Ecuador 1
[Valencia 49]
Enner Valencia netted his third goal of the tournament to earn Ecuador a point against Netherlands in Group A in Qatar.
Cody Gakpo gave Netherlands the lead before Valencia, who was later stretchered off, scored an equaliser.

Iran 2
[Cheshmi 90+8, Rezaeian 90+11]
Ten-man Wales suffered a heartbreaking defeat after conceding twice in stoppage time against Iran in Group B in Doha.
Wales looked ragged throughout against an improved Iran side, who were beaten 6-2 by England in their opening game.
Wayne Hennessey, the Wales goalkeeper, was sent off for a reckless challenge on Mehdi Taremi in the 86th minute.
Iran opened the scoring through Rouzbah Cheshmi with 20-yard strike before Ramin Rezaeian struck on the counterattack to leave Wales on the brink of elimination.
