Croatia claimed their third top-three finish at the World Cup after defeating history-makers Morocco in Doha today [December 17].
Runners-up to France four years ago, Croatia opened the scoring through Josko Gvardiol with a diving header before Achraf Dari equalised for Morocco, the first African nation to reach the semi-finals, after nodding home from close range.
Moments before half-time, Mislav Orsic curled in a superb second for Croatia to secure the win for Zlatko Dalic’s side.
