Tuckett Speaks In UK House Of Commons
In celebration of UK Youth Parliament Day, McKenzie-Kohl Tuckett spoke in the UK House of Commons.
The Bermuda London Office tweeted the photos below, saying: “In celebration of UK Youth Parliament Day, 19-year-old McKenzie-Kohl Tuckett, Bermuda’s former Youth Premier, spoke to the @HouseofCommons from the Prime Minister’s despatch box. Her speech focused on the importance of Bermudians returning home after education overseas.
“She is the first Bermudian to have the opportunity to address the House of Commons, and represented our island well with her eloquent and passionate speech on the necessity of cultivating opportunities on-island for young Bermudians.
“We thank @CommonsSpeaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle for hosting @UKYP Day and inviting the OTs to be a part of this momentous occasion!”
