Partial Lane Closure On Harrington Sound Road

BELCO will be pulling their fiber optic lines through the newly installed manholes on Harrington Sound Road which will require partial lane closure along the route and a temporary traffic light placed along the stretch.

A spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that BELCO will be pulling their fiber optic lines through the newly installed manholes on Harrington Sound Road. The next stretch will be from Fractious Street substation to Harrington Sound Road substation near Paynters Road.

“The Work will require partial lane closure along the route and a temporary traffic light placed along the stretch on Harrington Sound Road as they progress. The work will commence Monday, November 28th, 2022 and will be ongoing until Friday, December 8th, 2022.

“Working hours will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

“Motorists are asked to cautiously travel along Harrington Sound Road or use alternative routes via North Shore Road. Traffic control will be managed by BELCO representatives through stop and go signs & a temporary traffic light.

“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full cooperation of the public, and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
