Registration Opens For Supervision Certificate
The Inter Agency Committee for Children, Families, and the Community [IAC] is offering “a two-day in-person training intensive focused on introducing leaders working in human services to different supervision models as well as reflective and clinical supervision best practice.”
A spokesperson said, “The Inter Agency Committee for Children, Families, and the Community has a final call for registration for a 2-day in-person training intensive focused on introducing leaders working in human services to different supervision models as well as reflective and clinical supervision best practice.
“The training will be facilitated by Dr. Laura Robinson and Dr. Jade Templer of Solstice. This event will be held at HSBC’s Harbour View Branch 9:30am to 5:00pm on Thursday November 17, and Friday November 18. The workshop will provide increased confidence and skills in the setting up, delivery and evaluation of supervision.
“Supervisors and managers will be challenged to consider wider system issues, the client and agency in the delivery of supervision, and will include role play, reflective learning tasks, practical examples, demonstrations and follow-up virtual reflective practice sessions. Participants will be invited to participate in six months of monthly group supervision to support their ongoing development in supervision practices.”
Dr. Jade Templer, Senior Clinical Psychologist Solstice, said, “If you are reading this and you are a helping professional, intrigued to know more about best practice for supervising and supporting yourself and your colleagues, or, if you recognise the need for positive outcomes and support systems at work and are committed to developing and working in the best kind of workplace you can, than this three-part training series will leave you feeling confident, competent and inspired to receive and offer Clinically Informed Supervision.”
The spokesperson said, “The cost of the two full days in person training is $160 for IAC members or $800 for non-members. To register for the training, visit here. Non-members can register online for IAC membership for $35 per year.
“Solstice is a holistic wellness centre that offers comprehensive psychological and psychiatric assessment and a range of evidence-based therapies and interventions to children, adolescents, adults and families.
