Kairos XXII Productions Album Now Available
Janita Burke and Abimbola “Bim” Bademosi — the duo behind Kairos XXII Productions — announced that their first EP album is now available for purchase and download.
A spokesperson said, “The album, released on Friday, December 2nd for sampling on their website includes 8 tracks all written by either Burke or Bademosi and includes two holiday songs.
“The title, ‘This is the Time’, is linked to their name Kairos [an opportune time], as well as the duo’s belief that it is time for their music to come to the world stage. It also serves as a rally cry for anyone who has their own fire within to step out into the spotlight.”
“There are so many creative and talented people waiting in the wings with something the world needs to experience. It’s time for them to be brave”, says Burke. “If we can do it, anybody can do it.”
The spokesperson said, “Promoting the wide variety of local talent is very much a part of Kairos’ ethos and it shows in the album’s discography. Many of the songs feature the vocal stylings of local artists including Gita Blakeney Saltus, Rickeesha Binns, Marissa Brangman, Willard Burch, Jecoa Burrows, Shardae Lee, and Jarita Vickers. Burke and Bademosi were excited to collaborate not only with local vocalists, but musicians, fellow producers and arrangers.”
“This is the Time for the reemergence of our entertainment industry”, the pair shared, “and we are honored that our songs include the giftings of almost two dozen Bermudians.”
The spokesperson said, “The duo also worked with several overseas artists and producers including Grammy nominated songwriter and gospel singer Jason Clayborn [US]; celebrated gospel singer Bamike ‘OBA’ Adeyemi [Nigeria]; and award winning jazz singer, actress and former Nigerian Idol judge Yinka Davies [Nigeria]. Overseas producers include Sheriden Williams [US] and Adewale Adeybemi [Nigeria].
“Kairos XXII Productions kicked off an almost two-week countdown celebration of their album release on the 22nd November with the official launch of their website and an 11 Day Holiday Spirit Challenge to the community. The challenge encouraged participants to share a specific act of kindness each day with the opportunity to win prizes sponsored by a number of local companies, details of which can be found on their website.
