Minister Updates On Air Service Development
Following meetings in New York this week with the leadership of several major airlines, Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert said, “The priority for supporting air service development has increased since the pandemic’s impact on the aviation industry.
“As discussed in the recent Bermuda Tourism Summit, I’m pleased to highlight that United Airlines’ service to Newark will start in March 2023, over a month earlier than anticipated. British Airways will begin daily service between Bermuda and Heathrow in April. Additionally, the successful opening of the route through Charlotte expands Bermuda’s market to travellers from the west coast of North America. These indicate that we are gaining positive traction in air service development.”
Minister Furbert concluded, “Beyond our local air service development team, the airlines are key stakeholders. We know that they face challenges due to decreased operational capacity and reduced human resources, including pilots and crew. However, I am pleased that our existing airline partners are showing a renewed interest in Bermuda as a destination. We continue to be optimistic about our air service development prospects.”

Kudos for everywhere but the dive in NC that airport is old outdated dilapidated worst than our old airport. I would cancel or select other options rather than pass through that grimy place.
