[Updating] People are starting to gather in St George’s where the Corporation of St. George is hosting a New Year’s Eve event this evening [Dec 31] with music playing, vendors on scene and the Bermuda Onion raised and ready to drop at midnight to celebrate the start of 2023.

Not a soul wearing a mask and Covid variants are on the rise again. SMH. No common sense at all! Most Bermudians go to NYE in St. George’s because they just want somewhere to go. I don’t find it entertaining at all. Bermudians don’t have a style of their own, they get down there performing and sing other artists songs. It’s boring! I’d rather stay in my house than be bothered with loads of people bumping into you and listening to Nadanja Bailey and artist singing songs that aren’t even their own.
They’re in open air. The chances of passing along the now-trivial covid are extremely low, as are the consequences of catching it. But if you’re concerned, stay at home, which you obviously did.
