BSSF Senior School Cross Country Results

Both Senior School Front Street Mile winners won their races during the Bermuda School Sports Federation Senior School Cross Country Championships.

Saltus Grammar School’s Jaeda Grant cross the line first in the Under 16 Girls race with a time of 13:32. Fenella Wightman from Bermuda High School finished second in 14:32, while Carina Bortoli from Somersfield Academy came in third in 15:19. Grant led Saltus to victory in the team event with a total score of 31. BHS finished second with 57 while The Berkeley Institute finished third with 76.

Berkeley’s Khari Sharieff led from the start and never looked back in winning the Under 16 Boys race in 11:34. Somersfield Academy’s Jackson Langley came in twenty seconds later followed by Warwick Academy’s Jake Smith in third with a time of 12:16. Somersfield Academy took team honors with 48 points followed by Saltus Grammar with 62 points and Warwick Academy in third with 71.

Warwick Academy swept the podium spots in the Over 16 Girls Division with Adriana Argent leading the way in a time of 14:15. Shayla Cann was next to cross the line in 14:34. Followed by Daria Desmond in 14:40. Warwick placed 6 runners in the top 7 and easily won the team event with an incredible 17 points. Saltus finished second with 60 points with CedarBridge Academy ending up in third with 64 points.

Senior School Boys Front Street Mile winner Tahjari Rogers from CedarBridge Academy cruised to victory in the Over 16 Boys Division in 15:59. He was followed by the Berkeley Institute pair of J’auza James in 16:27 and Seer Carey in 16:33. Warwick Academy ultimately won the team division with 63 winning the tie breaker over Saltus Grammar who finished with the same points. Berkeley finished two points back in third place
