BUEI To Screen ‘The Whale’ On February 25
Screening this Saturday [Feb 25] in BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium is the Academy Award nominated film, ‘The Whale’, starring Brendan Fraser.
A spokesperson said, “In what has been called ‘one of the best performances and one of the best movies of the year,’ the film is about a reclusive English teacher, Charlie [played by Fraser] who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. ‘The Whale’ has been nominated for an Academy Award in several categories including Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.

“The Whale is the second film in the recently launched ‘Films at BUEI’ series which screens a new film at 7pm every second and fourth Saturday of the month in our Tradewinds Auditorium. Films selected for screening are intended for mature audiences and include a ticket option package featuring a beverage such as wine, beer or a non-alcoholic drink, and a snack pack to enjoy during the film.
“Next month, ‘Films at BUEI’ will screen ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ starring Michelle Yeoh, on Saturday, March 25th at 7pm. The film has been described by critics as ‘absurd, wild and wonderful’ and has also been nominated for several Academy Awards including Best Picture of the Year, Best Actress and Best Original Screenplay.
