Cricket Team Win Again, Qualify For Regionals
The Bermuda national cricket team continue their impressive showing, claiming their third consecutive victory in this event in Argentina, defeating Panama by 60 runs today.
The BCB noted that following this win, “Bermuda has now qualified for the ICC Americas T20 World Cup Regional Final that will be hosted by us on island in Bermuda from September 28 – October 7, 2023.”
Bermuda won the toss at the Belgrano Athletic Club Ground and decided to bat. Bermuda scored 196/1 in their allotted 20 overs with Kamau Leverock making an outstanding showing as the top scorer with 103, which came off 58 balls, he hit 10 fours and 6 sixes, while Tre Manders scored 67 not out, which came off 55 balls, he hit 3 fours and 4 sixes. Anikumar Ahir was the pick of the Panama bowlers returning figures of 3-0-19-1. In reply Panama could only manage 136/6, in their 20 overs, Ahir was their top scorer with 51, while Leverock was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers returning figures of 2-0-15-2.

You can only beat what is in front of you, but my gracious, I watched the game and Panama would have been beaten by some Thursday League teams, let’s not get carried away.
