L&F Indemnity Donate $50,000 To WindReach
L&F Indemnity Limited has made a $50,000 donation to WindReach, with the company noting they are “delighted to partner with WindReach to do our small part in assisting our fellow residents.“
A spokesperson said, “WindReach today announced the receipt of a significant donation from L&F Indemnity Limited [Captive insurance company for the PricewaterhouseCoopers network of firms] in support of the Windreach Educational and Therapeutic Programmes.
“The donation of $50,000 along with five laptops comes as the organisation celebrates 50 years of Therapeutic Riding in Bermuda. Throughout this year, WindReach will highlight the impact that Therapeutic Riding has had on the lives of individuals living with diverse support needs. This is a huge historical milestone for WindReach, but also to the island as a whole, as Bermuda is the fourth oldest country behind Denmark, UK and Germany to engage individuals in this form of therapeutic activity.”
Stewart Ritchie, Board Chairman commented, “We are absolutely thrilled that L&F have chosen to recognise the 50th anniversary of the Therapeutic Riding Programme with this fantastic donation. L&F have been tremendous supporters of WindReach. In addition to their financial support, L&F employees generously donate their time as volunteers for our programmes. We are grateful to L&F for their continued support as we celebrate 50 years of Therapeutic Riding in Bermuda.”
Gregory Galeaz, CEO and Director of L&F, commented, “The goal of L&F’s charitable giving programme is to make a difference in the local community by sharing our time and resources. In this time of need, WindReach’s therapeutic riding facility and associated community programmes provide invaluable contributions to special needs individuals. L&F and its staff are therefore delighted to partner with WindReach to do our small part in assisting our fellow residents.“
Tammalita Joseph, Fund Development Manager, went on to say, “Corporate support, such as this, helps us to raise the necessary funds to ensure that WindReach continues to positively impact individuals living with diverse support needs.
“The team at L&F are amazing and have also recently offered their expert advice that has helped to shape the framework of our future funding proposals. This donation is a sign of the continued commitment of Bermuda’s International Business Community to non-profits which makes a significant impact to the lives of people in our community.”
