Live Updates & Video: Premier Delivers Budget

[Updating] Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt is set to deliver the 2023 Budget in the House of Assembly this morning [Feb 17], with the Premier previously saying that he “will be delivering a budget that will continue to reduce taxes for workers and businesses in Bermuda, increase investments in vital reforms and critical infrastructure while keeping Bermuda firmly on the path towards a balanced budget in 2024.”

    Building housing at Morgans Point in “affordable range for most Bermudians” bypasses the opportunity to develop something that will bring new money into Bermuda. There are no other large plots of land; it is foolish to develop this in a way that does not drive tourism or expand Bermuda’s respop.
