Smith & Outerbridge Earn Smith’s Scholarships
The Smith’s Parish Council announced that Madison Smith and Jayson Outerbridge are the recipients of the Smith’s Parish Council award.
A spokesperson said, “The Smith’s Parish Council awarded two educational awards to residents of Smith’s Parish. The scholarships were needs based and recipients were awarded on the basis of their academic ability, community involvement, and career aspirations.
“The 2022 recipients are:
- Madison Smith, a sophomore at Acadia University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts
- Jayson Outerbridge, a freshman at University of Guelph pursuing a Bachelor of Science
Council Chair, Dr. Lana Talbot says, “The Smith’s Parish Council is very pleased to be able to provide this support to young people in our community. The funds for these awards derived from the proceeds of the Smith’s Parish Golf Tournament. We’d like to take this time to thank our sponsors and participants who helped to make that event a success.”
