Lane Closure On Parson’s Rd Starting On Monday

March 2, 2023

The “water trenching work taking place on Parson’s Road has reached the Montpelier Road roundabout,” so the “westbound lane on Parson’s Road will need to be closed at the roundabout,” and the road closure will “commence on Monday, March 6th until Monday, March 13th,” the Government advised today.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that the water trenching work taking place on Parson’s Road has reached the Montpelier Road roundabout. For the safety of the construction workers and the motoring public, the Westbound Lane on Parson’s Road will need to be closed at the roundabout.

“All traffic traveling from Montpelier Road or Frog Lane will not be able to enter Parson’s Road to head West. Detour routes via Happy Valley Road, Robert’s Avenue, Middle Road or Palmetto Road are advised.

“The road closure on Parson’s Road shall commence on Monday, March 6th until Monday, March 13th, 2023. Working hours will be daily from 7:00 am through to 7:00 pm.

“Traffic controls will be under the direction of Invisible Trenching representatives and will be managed through traffic control barricades, detour signs and traffic lights.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

“Should there be any questions regarding the lane closure, please contact Ms. Tina Beer-Searle, Principal Highways Engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on 501-3044.”
