March 7, 2023

Strong headwinds on the back stretch worked against athletes attempting to make the qualifying standard for the Carifta games in the final meet before the team is to be selected, however one athlete did make the standard, with Tajahri Rogers booking a spot when he ran the Under 17 boy’s 3000 meter run in 9:46.34, with the qualifying standard set at 9:58.00.

At the National Sports Center Flora Duffy South Field Stadium, Kyah Richardson just missed the Carifta Standard of 11.20 for the Under-17 girls 100m, when she clocked 11.41, Jaeda Grant who has already qualified clocked a time of 2:24.65 in the Under-17 women’s 800 meter run, with the standard set at 2:23.00.
