Sousa Attends Events In UK, Speaks With King
Brandon Sousa represented Bermuda at multiple events in London in celebration of 2023 Commonwealth Day, and had the opportunity to speak with King Charles III about Bermuda.
The Bermuda London Office tweeted the photos below, saying, “In celebration of Commonwealth Day 2023 on March 13th, Consular Officer Brandon Sousa represented the Government of Bermuda at multiple events across Westminster to honour the contributions of 56 Commonwealth nations to Global Britain.
“Mr Sousa attended the Commonwealth Flag Raising Ceremony in New Palace Yard, hosted by House of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, then observed the Commonwealth Day Service of Remembrance in Westminster Abbey to mark the 10th anniversary of the CW Charter signed by Her Late Majesty the Queen.
“The day concluded with the Commonwealth Day Reception for the diplomatic community at Buckingham Palace, where our Consular Officer had the opportunity to speak with His Majesty King Charles III about Bermuda.”
