Bermuda Sailors Continue Competing In Spain
Bermuda sailors continue competing in the 52 Trofeo Princesa Sofia International Sailing Regatta, Bermuda is being represented by Adrianna Penrudducke in the ILCA6 Class, while Ben Smith, Campbell Patton, and Sebastian Kempe are competing in the Men’s ILCA7 Class.
In a fleet of 106 sailors in the ILCA6 Class Penrudducke fell from her starting position of 71st to 79th with 216 Net Points, after she finished 34th in the first race and the sixth of the series, she finished 36th in the second race, before closing out the day with a 24th place finish in the third race of the day.
The Men’s ILCA7 Class has 184 competitors competing, Kempe leads the Bermuda sailors as he is in 93rd place with 195 Net Points, Kempe would finish 11th in the first race, before being Ruled on the Course Side in the second race, Kempe closed out the day with a 38th place finish in the third race of the day.
Patton is 106th with 213 net points, he had a finished 37th in the first race, and he would then finish 13th in the second race, before finishing 54th in the third race.
Smith came off the water in 145th with 258 Net Points, Smith finished the first race in 13th, before finishing 47th in the second race, he would close out with a Ruled on the Course Side in the third race.
