Swimmers Win Bronze In Carifta Relays

Bermuda won their first medal on the opening day of the Carifta Swimming Championships in Willemstad, Curaçao, after claiming bronze in the girls’ 15-17 4×400 metres freestyle relay yesterday.

Imojen Judd, Myeisha Sharrieff, Adriana Argent and Bella Howes teamed up to clinch the podium finish.

Also in action for Bermuda were Marleigh Howes, who came sixth in the 13-14 girls’ 50 backstroke, Sharrieff, who placed fourth in the 15-17 girls’ 50 backstroke, and Brandon Adkins, who finished eighth in the boys’ 15-17 50 backstroke.

Elanna Fulton missed out on a medal after placing fourth in the 13-14 girls’ 100 butterfly. Marleigh Howes came sixth in the same race.

The Championships run until Sunday.
