BDA To Hold 2nd Annual Climate Summit In June
‘Bermuda-Climate Central’ is the theme of the Bermuda Business Development Agency’s next signature event, which will be held at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in June 2023.
A spokesperson said, “As the world seeks ways to confront our planet’s biggest challenge, climate change, Bermuda is uniquely positioned to be a global leader in providing climate risk strategies and solutions.
“The second annual Bermuda Climate Summit, presented by the Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA], in partnership with KBRA, will showcase not just the seriousness of the threat, but also the attributes and innovative spirit Bermuda can bring to the table to help partners across to world rise to meet this global crisis. Bermuda has a long history of providing financial solutions that mitigate the negative impact of crises.”
David Hart, BDA, CEO said, “Our exclusive invite-only event back in May 2022 attracted 150 attendees, including 70 from overseas, and this year we are expecting to at least double the level of interest, bringing together senior leaders from financial services, academia and public policy to explore climate risk solutions and opportunities.
“We will discuss a wide-range of climate issues, including the science of climate change, the regulatory needs of green investors, and Bermuda’s aspirations to be a climate risk finance leader – the most adjacent vertical to our globally significant property catastrophe reinsurance and Insurance Linked Securities sectors.

“the science of climate change” – I almost fell off my chair!
The science of climate change (if you can come up with one accepted definition) is so unbelievably inaccurate and scientists know it! In the private sector, people would be fired for knowing using inaccurate data in models that cannot possibly produce accurate results. Say the VP of Sales projected a 50% increase in sales revenue and that increase fell way short – goodbye!
Failure to accurately predict the path of a hurricane, no problem! No one gets fired for causing chaos and confusion for millions of people.
Now “climate scientists” are another story. How many of these scientists have falsely claimed to have won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize? (hundreds and hundreds) The White House did two press releases, years apart, on a person and claimed she was a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner – and no one said that is not true! So much for simple fact-checking. BTW, in case you did not know, Al Gore, a non-scientist, was the only person to win the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, and the IPCC as an organization was a co-winner.
The Earth is doing just fine. On the other hand, going green is destroying the planet by wrecking environmental carnage on the landscape, killing birds, bats, crabs, fish, whales, etc., and using children to mine for rare earth elements such are cobalt and lithium. This is all public information.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! Follow the money. Who is profiting from pushing going green?
