Disability Equity Symposium On April 22
Inspire Bermuda, Registered Charity #1006, will be holding its first Disability Equity Symposium on Saturday, April 22.
A spokesperson said, “In keeping with its mission of advocating for the rights of persons living with disabilities/exceptionalities, the Equity Symposium will bring together participating organizations and registered charities that support persons with disabilities in Bermuda.
“Attendees will have the opportunity to visit information booths of participating organizations and charities to learn more about their services and programs, sign up to volunteer and meet their members. Participating organizations who are registered charities will also have the opportunity to receive donations.
“Special presentations will be made throughout the 5 hour event where attendees can learn more about specific initiatives of the presenting organizations. The Symposium will close out with an inspirational keynote address from Ms. Crystal Holdipp, who, in spite of her learning and processing disability diagnosis, is a multi-talented author, speaker, entrepreneur, advocate, philanthropist and ministry leader.
“The Disability Equity Symposium will take place from 10am to 3pm at the Prospect Primary School Assembly Hall. Persons with disabilities/exceptionalities, parents, caregivers and the public at large are highly encouraged to attend this free event.
