Personal Info Protection Act Webinar On April 20
Walkers and The TLC Group are getting set to hold a free webinar for businesses on April 20 “on the latest updates to the Personal Information Protection Act 2016 [PIPA].”

“The session is an important reminder to the business community of the importance of navigating the PIPA legislation and will provide essential information on the relevant policies, privacy notices and good governance.
“Melanie Fullerton, senior counsel at Walkers, and Taheera Lovell, co-founder and chief executive officer of The TLC Group, will provide an overview of PIPA and discuss the key documents that need to be prepared. They will guide attendees on how to complete and review the documentation to help ensure businesses comply with the legal and regulatory requirements.
“The webinar, which is free and open to all, will address the development of data privacy and protection policies and procedures as well as the required privacy notice. It will provide clarity on the differences between the two documents, and the different approaches that can be taken when organisations are developing these documents. It will also cover the respective roles of the board of directors and the data privacy officer in relation to PIPA.”
