Sealey Wins Silver Medal In Carifta Games

Kahzi Sealey claimed Bermuda’s first medal at the 50th Carifta Games in the Bahamas after winning silver in the boys’ under-20 1,500 metres.
Sealey delivered a superb showing on the opening day of the competition, finishing in 4min 6.34sec.
In the same race, Kallan Richardson placed tenth in 4:20.78.
Jaeda Grant pushed hard for the podium after coming fourth in the girls’ under-17 1,500 in 4:56.54.
Fenella Wightman finished seventh in the same race in 5:12.95.
Tajahari Rogers also delivered a strong performance after finishing fourth in the boys’ under-17 1,500 in 4:15.16.
In the same race, Jake Smith came ninth in 4:22.06.
Also competing for Bermuda yesterday was Razi Garland, who placed sixth in the men’s under-20 javelin [44.62 metres] and eighth in the under-20 discus [30.12].
The Games continue today.
