Trott & Dailey Claim Top Honours In Race

Sean Trott continued his fine form with his third straight win after claiming victory in the RenaissanceRe Ten-Mile Challenge on Sunday [April 16].

Trott, who won the Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10K Run last month and the PHC One Mile Road Race last weekend, finished in 56min 26sec. Thomas Mills came second in 1:00:01, and Will Green placed third in 1:06:16.

Christine Dailey won the women’s race in 1:10:00, which placed her eleventh overall, with Kristen Robinson finishing a place behind in 1:10:17. Maria Kemiji-McDonald was the third female finisher in 1:12:24, which was good enough for nineteenth overall.

In the Five-Mile Road Race, Shannon Lawrence claimed the honours in 30:12, with Christopher Harris placing second in 30:24 and Anthony Harkness third in 35:46.

Stepanka Sprincova was the top female, coming fourth overall in 36:10; Georgia Wharton was the second fastest female, placing tenth overall in 39:45, and Nicole Johnson was the third-best female, finishing eighteenth overall in 42:26.

Paul Hayward was dominant in the Five-Mile Competitive Walk, crossing the line in 55:53, with Junior Watts coming second in 1:01:35 and Wendell Hollis placing third in 1:02:44.

Nancy Andrews-Sousa finished fourth in 1:03:41, with Renay Arorash placing fifth in 1:22:23.

In the five-mile non-competitive run/walk, Jiheon Song took first place in 50:53, followed by Karlo Nunez in 56:00 and Jenn Card, the top female, third in 1:02:01.
