Bermuda To Play In NORCECA Beach Volleyball
Bermuda will be participating in the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour this weekend in the Cayman Islands.
A spokesperson said, “The NORCECA Beach Tour is the signature beach volleyball tour for the North American, Central American and Caribbean Zone. The Bermuda Volleyball Association is proud to announce their teams for the Cayman Islands Tour stop taking place from May 19-21, 2023. Bermuda is sending one men’s team, consisting of the pairing of Daniel Fiddick & Brian Amaro and one women’s team, represented by Allison Settle & Hailey Moss.”
This is the second time that Bermuda will be participating in the NORCECA Beach Tour.
BVA Co-President, Elisabeth Rae said,” The international experience gained through participation in this event will be invaluable to our Beach Volleyball Program. This is the second time Bermuda has attended a NORCECA Beach Tour stop [First was in Cayman 2022] and the BVA is very excited about the development of its beach volleyball program.
“The athletes are keen to earn some very valuable tour points for Bermuda and gain valuable experience competing at an event at this level and quality of play. Tour points will allow Bermuda to participate in larger events down the road such as the Central American Caribbean Games [CAC] and Commonwealth Games.”
Other countries that will be represented at the event include the United States, Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cayman, St. Kitts & Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas U.S. Virgin Islands, Haiti, Antigua, Anguilla, Dominica, Jamaica, Cuba, and St. Lucia.
