Caleb Crockwell & Ivan Outerbridge Promoted
Security Associates [SA] announced the promotion of Caleb J. Crockwell to Training and Compliance Officer, while Ivan Outerbridge has been promoted to Lead Training & Compliance Officer.
A spokesperson said, “The Security Training Center [STC] at SA, provides effective training for our Security Officers and Supervisor teams and we are very excited to have such a dynamic duo leading the Centre.” Says Chief Executive Officer, Carlton Crockwell
“Historically, the Security industry has been seen as a job for an older age group and we have changed the narrative. Everyone person between the ages of 18 through 55 is invited to apply and start a new career in security.

“The primary goal of the STC is to assist new Security Officers recruits in developing a passion for the field as a viable career choice, and not simply a job.
“Development training for our Security Officers consist of such things such as; critical thinking, deductive reasoning and situational judgment decisions. For our Security Supervisors, development training consists of; learning effective leadership skills, team building exercises, as well as how to conduct performance reviews and appraisals” explains Ivan Outerbridge. “Hands-on, in-person training is the key to our success.”
A spokesperson added, “All officers at SA are mandated to go through the program in order to become licensed and approved to work in the field. The training is designed to be concise and effective, while also providing hands-on learning through experience. This is a vital part of the training programme, to ensure that new recruits gain the the correct level and quality of service before they enter the field. It also assists in refining and upgrading the skillset of our experienced Security Officers to ensure they are up to speed on the latest industry guidelines.
“This year, SA has offered training for summer students, who are taught lifelong physical and mental skills which benefits them in their various career paths. The summer program allows Bermudian students who are home for the summer, to learn more about themselves from a young age, teaching them to be more vigilant, and attentive, with a desire for integrity.
