St George’s Cricket Club and Somerset Cricket Club both recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

St George’s Cricket Club Won by 12 Runs: St. George’s Cricket Club 130 Western Stars 118/6

In a match that was reduced to 28 overs at the National Sports Center, Western Stars, won the toss and sent St. George’s to bat.

St. George’s Cricket Club would score 130 all out, Tomeiko Wilson was the top scorer with 40, while Brian hall was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers returning figures of 5.2-0-16-4, Makai Young bowled 6-0-34-4.

In reply Western Stars fell short by 12 runs as they scored 118/6 in their allotted 28 overs, Khiry Furbert was the top scorer with 44, while Zeko Burgess returned figures of 6-1-18-3.

First Division

Somerset Cricket Club Won by 123 runs: Somerset Cricket Club 230/1 Somerset Bridge 107/7

This match at the White Hill Field was reduced to 33 overs, with the Somerset cricket Club w3inning by 123 runs.

Somerset Bridge won the toss and sent Somerset Cricket Club to bat, they would score 230/1 in their allotted 33 overs, Amari Ebbin was the top scorer with 97 off 95 balls, he hit 9 fours and 1 six, while his opening partner Matthew Watson scored 74 not out off 92 balls, hitting 4 fours. Shawn Riley claimed the only wicket for the Somerset Bridge with figures of 6-0-45-1.

In reply Somerset Bridge scored 107/7, Joshua Gilbert was the top scorer with 40 not out, with Isaiah Richardson returning figures of 6-3-5-4 for the Somerset Cricket Club.
