Longtail Learning Launches Tutoring Program
Lontail Learning is set to launch a summer tutoring program which will run from July 2 to August 18.
A spokesperson said, “Longtail Learning was founded in March 2023. The initiative was born out of a recognition of a gap in Bermuda’s market for affordable tutoring and mentorship schemes.
“Ideally, a student should have access to education support services, regardless of their academic abilities or family’s financial resources. However, due to the immense cost of providing such services in Bermuda, a significant amount of our youth is barred from receiving the benefits of educational tutoring and mentoring. Longtail Learning aims to fill this gap.
“This summer we are introducing our first initiative. The program will run from July 2nd to August 18th with SCARS-trained university students providing hour-long tutoring sessions. We aim to help students maintain and further advance the skills developed throughout the school year in core subjects, like Maths and English.
“Our curriculum will be in accordance with the Ministry of Education and IGCSE content. However, we will also rely on the student and their parents or guardians to provide necessary contextual information regarding the child’s academic needs to tailor their experience. We are targeting the Middle School and IGCSE grade levels, aiming to accommodate 20 students this summer, with 10 students from each category.
“We are currently still accepting applications for interested students, parents, and university students who are interested in tutoring.
