Somersfield Academy Win BSSF Hockey
Somersfield Academy won the double at the BSSF/BHF Middle School Hockey Tournament by winning the girls and boys tournament.
The day started with a skills and drills session led by the Bermuda Hockey Federation volunteers followed by a round robin tournament.
Somersfield won the boys division after finishing with three wins and a draw. They defeated Saltus Grammar School 3-0, Mount Saint Agnes 4-0 and Dellwood Middle School 1-0 while settling for a 1-1 with Warwick Academy. Warwick finished second with two wins and two draws. Warwick followed their draw with Somersfield with another 1-1 draw with Dellwood. They defeated Saltus 2-1 and MSA 6-0. Saltus defeated MSA 3-1 and Dellwood 3-0. The final match in the round-robin saw Dellwood defeat MSA 3-0.
Somersfield went a perfect 4-0 in the girls round robin tournament. They defeated Saltus Grammar School 3-0 Warwick Academy 2-1, Dellwood Middle School and Mount Saint Agnes 8-0. Warwick Academy finished in second place with a 3-1 record. They defeated Saltus 7-0, Dellwood 5-0 and MSA 8-0.
